Every month on the Ekadashi date, Lord Vishnu is worshipped according to Hindu religion. On this day, the Ekadashi fast is observed. For Vaishnava society and Hinduism, the Ekadashi fast is significant and virtuous.
Ekadashi Vrat Vidhi
Lord Vishnu, according to Naradpuran, is very fond of the Ekadashi fast. Similarly to how Ganesh ji is worshipped on Chaturthi, Shiva on Trayodashi, and Lakshmi ji on Panchami, Lord Shree Hari Vishnu is worshipped on Ekadashi date.
Lord Vishnu should be worshipped after bathing in the morning on Dashami and sleeping near the place of worship at night for the Ekadashi fast. The next day, after picking up (Ekadashi) in the morning, a person should worship Lord Vishnu with flowers, incense, and other offerings by chanting the following mantra:
एकादशी निराहारः स्थित्वाद्यधाहं परेङहन।
भोक्ष्यामि पुण्डरीकाक्ष शरणं में भवाच्युत।।
Lord Vishnu should be reverently worshipped at night after following the fast for the whole day. The Pandit should then take food after eating himself on Dwadashi, after getting up in the morning, taking bath, and offering food to Lord Vishnu.
