Form 10ID
Section 115BAB of the Income Tax Act, 1961 allows new manufacturing domestic companies to pay tax at a reduced rate of 15% (plus relevant surcharge and cess) if certain conditions are met. To qualify for the benefit, you must complete Form 10-ID on or before the due date stated in sub-section (1) of Section 139 for filing returns of income for the first assessment year beginning on or after April 1, 2020.
Who is required to file Form 10-ID
A New Manufacturing Domestic Company that was formed on or after October 1, 2019, and that began manufacturing or producing an article or thing on or before March 31, 2023, and chooses to be taxed at a concessional rate, must file Form 10-ID.
