Other premium trains include the Vande Bharat Express and the Tejas Express. Passengers who order meals when they are riding the train but who did not pre-book their meals when they purchased their tickets will now be subject to an extra fee of fifty Japanese yen (50).

In a similar fashion, the updated prices for breakfast in the second and third air-conditioned coaches are Rs155, while the prices for dinner and lunch would be Rs190.

This action will make life more difficult for the average person. “We will, instead, purchase food meals from the local sellers at the railway stations while we are travelling,” said Vipul Alekar, a frequent passenger.
