Kamba Ramayanam in Tamil
The Ramayana is one of India’s ancient epics. The Ramayana is a Hindu epic that tells the tale of Rama, the Iraku dynasty’s ruler. (Ramayana = Rama + Ayanam) Valmiki, Vasittar, and Pothayanar were the first to write this tale in the northern language. In Tamil, Gumber is the author of the epic Ramakatha. Since it was written by Kamber, the epic was given the name Kambaramayanam.
Kamber translated the epic into Tamil from its original vernacular. He illustrates his effort with a rare parable. He likens his attempt to a hungry cat finding a sea of milk and wishing to lick it. It is included in the package. Satyappa Valal was a key figure in the development of the Gumbar Ramakatha. In return, he has sung Satyappa Valla in his epic at a pace of one song per thousand songs.
