Indian Athletes Qualified for 2021 Olympics

A total of 127 Indian athletes, including two alternate players and one reserve goalkeeper in the men’s and women’s hockey squads, will compete in the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics, which will begin on July 23. The athletes will represent India in 18 different sports at the games.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, and Shri Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will give a formal send-off to the 88-member contingent, which includes 54 athletes, support staff, and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) representatives, at a ceremony.
